Multiplayer attempt

This project was made by a team of 4 people, it was our first attempt on making a multiplayer game during our time at the University of Applied Sciences. We decided to use the Photon framework and start the project programming all of the multiplayer before we got to most of the gameplay. The game is a 1v1 strategic multiplayer game where you are trying to destroy each others base and gather the resources on the island to expand your army. The one who kills the others general or base first wins the game.

My Responsibilities

During this project I took the role of managing the project and making the 3D art upon myself. I also worked a lot on the multiplayer programming of this game. At the time I struggled a lot with multiplayer programming because I couldn't really grasp the whole workflow it came with, but at the end of the project I could safely say I learned a lot and could make a multiplayer game again with way less struggle.

Process and Results

The game had a relatively good multiplayer system working but the gameplay was not very polished, because we worked on the multiplayer so much it took a lot of time away from developing the actual gameplay.
