Dutch Game Jam 2021

This gamejam was during covid and I though I'd would be interesting to participate on my own. The theme was Treasure which let me to the idea of making something treasure chest themed. I wanted to keep things simple because I was alone and I also wanted to focus on my 3D modeling skills.

Process and Results

I started by setting up 3D character controller, making sure that jumping and running was satisfying enough (for a gamejam). After that I just focused on creating the art and the gameplay for the game. There are 6 chests spread across the map, and you need to complete all of them in order. When you open a chest, a path of coins reveals itself to you. Th chest is actually empty and you need to grab the coins as fast as possibile to get the best time for that chest. Next to this there also some collectibles spread around the map for some more exploration and platforming fun.
